About the Star
Some may argue, Jean Harlow was the original blonde in Hollywood.
Finding fame at.......
Jean starred in many films during the height of her career in the 1930s including.......she made a name for herself a comedy actress.
Jean died at the young age of 26 from what is now believed to have been a kidney infection.
How to get the look
Best known for her platinum blonde hair, styled into classic 1930s style of the pin curl; along with her thin penciled-in eyebrows and red lipstick.
Curl the hair in small sections towards the scalp, holding in place with a metal pin. With straight hair this may be best to work with damp hair, sleeping with the pins in. In the morning when dressed and fully made up, undo the pins and lightly brush out curls to get the desired effect.
In Jean's day hairdressers would have recommended washing the hair everyday to upkeep the platinum blonde colour. Jean was known for commenting on how the light shade of blonde picked up every speck of dust and dirt and so at times could be hard to maintain.
Today in order to maintain the platinum blonde, reducing the yellow tones and maintaing a healthy shine, I would recommend using a silver shampoo like this L'Oreal Expert Silver Shampoo pictured
