Elizabeth Taylor's huge vintage collection to go on sale

Next month sees the sale of Elizabeth Taylor's stunning collection of jewellery, clothing and accessories.
The Rockefeller Center in New York hosting the sale is bound to be crammed with vintage lovers and Elizabeth Taylor enthusiasts, looking for that rare piece to complete their collection.
Taylor has left behind such a huge collection that the sale is to be carried out over a week, including an online auction for smaller pieces. Amounted over years of mingling with the stars of the Golden Hollywood era, and many a gift from a former lover, the collection includes striking ruby and emerald, necklace & earring sets along with diamond encrusted brooches and a pearl once owned by a Spanish King, dating from the 16th Century.

Sixty eight of Taylor's impeccable designer dresses will go on sale this December, but you'll have to dig deep if you're after one, as some dresses come with a whopping £13,000 price tag.
Much of the collection is by designer Versace, whom became a close friend of Taylor, but there are also haute couture pieces by  Chanel, Yves St. Laurent and Dior.
